About Us
We're the Green Party for Bolsover, Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire — a local party run by volunteers, campaigning for fair, sustainable communities across our area.
Who we are
North Derbyshire Green Party is the local party of the Green Party of England and Wales, covering the districts of Bolsover, Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire. Everything we do — leaflet drops, street stalls, fundraisers and council campaigns — is run by members who live and work here.
We were founded at our first AGM on , and have grown to more than 700 members across the three districts.
We're part of the East Midlands region of the Green Party, and joining the national party automatically makes you a member of ours too.
How the local party is run — our officers, our AGM and how members decide things — is set out in our constitution .
What we stand for
Greens want warm homes, reliable public transport, clean rivers and air, and public services that work for the people who rely on them. We believe those things go together: you cannot tackle the climate and nature crises without also tackling the cost of living and the inequality behind it.
Locally that means holding our councils to account, pushing for decisions to be made openly, and giving residents a Green voice wherever they live in North Derbyshire.
We don't take money from large corporations — our campaigning is funded by members and local supporters.
